Well, I'm glad to be here in the Jiuzhaigou Valley (even if I can't pronounce it ), and even more excited to be on the Babs Chu tribe (much more fun name than the other tribe). It's only be a little bit of time, but with a tribal council looming, I've spoken to the majority of my tribe for at least a little while, and I'm sure that I'll be speaking more in depth in the near future. But, I figured I'd write about my first impressions of some of my fellow Babs Chusers.
Natalie: The first person I spoke to, and the one who I feel like I connected with the most out of everyone. She's just a refreshingly nice, sweet, and engaging person to talk with and out two hour conversation was always flowing nicely and kept going. She's easy to talk to and someone I'd like to see myself play this game with. However, I do have my reservations about her because I feel like she is the same she was with me with everyone and I don't know if I can ever feel like she is 100% on my side until the votes are cast, which is not something that I like per se. But we'll see where this goes.
Tom: The second person I spoke to, and much more reserved and difficult to talk to. It's not that I didn't like him because he was fine but rather that when someone speaks in one word answers it's tough to get everything going. Hopefully he'll open up more in the near future because he seemed nice enough.
David: An interesting guy and the only person who I literally didn't talk a second of game with. Somehow our conversation just centered on our interests and briefly on what we thought of our tribe, but our conversation was interesting. He's a guy that I could get closer too in the future, but would probably take some time. He's a Phoebe fan too, though.
Parvati: She was really nice and sweet and seemed to be someone that I could get along with, but for some reason our conversation just stalled and I felt a weird awkwardness between us. I still like her and hopefully that will improve as the game goes on, but I didn't have a natural connection like I did with Natalie.
Amber: Absolutely batshit crazy in the best possible way. She's just insane and hilarious to talk to, but not someone I feel I can play this game with. I had to convince her that it was Monday and not Friday, which was hilarious and WTF at the same time. Her name's already been thrown around as a first boot possibility, because of her unpredictability, which is regrettable because she is lolz but a smart move I think. Nat, Parv, and Chad all brought her name up.
Chad: The last person I spoke to and also the one that worries me the worst in terms of threats. He's undoubtedly a really smart guy and knows this game well, and plays the social game really well. He seemed reserved and watching his words which worries me. I think he'd be a good ally, but not someone that I'd like to let get too far in this game because he's just so nice.
I haven't gotten the chance to speak with NaOnka, Ashley, or Ozzy yet but I've been told that they are all cool people. But so far I feel good about our tribe and our chances in this game.
So...go Babs Chu
