ROUND ONE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Come on in, guys! And welcome to the beautiful Jiuzhaigou Valley, perhaps the best place I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. I took the site background picture myself!
Today, as you're well aware, you are playing for individual immunity, one for each tribe. However, there is more at stake here.
Although you have likely seen this challenge before, this time presents a somewhat new situation in that you have to base it on your first impressions alone, before you've had the chance to prove that others can trust you and before they have proven that you can trust them.
Each of you has 20 flowers and you HAVE to give them to other people on your tribe. You may NOT give more than twelve flowers to a single person, and you must give flowers to at least three different people. You may not give flowers to yourself, and you must donate all 20 of your flowers. Please make your donations in your confessional.
For example, let's say us staff members are a tribe. I can give 12 flowers to Erik, 6 to DDanielle, and 2 to one of the PWs [I'm not picking favorites here!]. I could also give 3 to each Erik and DDanielle and 2 to each of the PWs. It all depends on strategy, and it all depends on if you feel you can trust somebody or not.
There are 10 people on each tribe, so there are 200 total flowers in play here on either side. All contestants will know how many flowers they received, but only the person with the most flowers will know who their donors were. Nobody else will.
The person who has the most flowers overall on each tribe will win choice of a mystery prize OR individual immunity [in addition to the names of their donors]. The remaining person [as in after the winner] on each tribe who is closest to 40, over OR under [if there is a tie, under gets priority], will get the remaining of the two. This means that there is both a reward and immunity in play on each tribe. The person with the fewest flowers overall on each tribe will receive a penalty vote at this Tribal Council, which will increase their odds of going home. Anyone who does not donate any flowers will self-vote this round at Tribal, as detailed in the rules.
You have twenty-four hours [until 9 PM Eastern tomorrow] to post your donations in your confessional. I will allow you to edit your post as time goes on, since changing your mind is perfectly fine. I will tally everything after Big Brother is over tomorrow. If you have any questions for me, I'll be on AIM (zZAndymaNZz). I encourage you to talk to me if you're bored, because I probably am too!
