So essentially, here is how things happened last round.
Starting off, Chase and I made a real close bond together, and we basically agreed to put BS aside, and seriously just go all the way with things. I really like the guy, and I love it when you have an immediate bond early on to be able to get to the next step. When you remove all the witty banter and deception, if you can just get someone you can trust, you guys really have a lot of power. You can see how stories check out, you can combine resources, and ultimately make it pretty far.
Chase brought to the table Misty, a bit of a relationship with Julie, and a quick bonding strategically with Andrea.
I brought similar with Andrea and Julie, as well as the knowledge that Andrea is close to Dolly.
We knew that the target would automatically flood toward Dolly or Julie, and as expected, when the names started flying, Julie's was the strongest. Chase and Andrea had already had a really nice and blunt conversation about targeting Rory, though I did warn Chase to not trust Andrea too much with information because she will potentially leak too much info. Which is true of her.
For a second Chase faltered and though about voting Julie, but then we both just decided we should go all the way with this. We began talking to Andrea more, and I really started laying it on with Dolly and how I think Andrea and I should vote together with her, and get something good happening here. Eventually this gave way to us agreeing Rory, and since Julie was getting targeted she fell right into the slot, and the five of us hopped into a chat together, and basically hit it off.
It was really perfect, because Andrea was able to feel a lot like she was in control, because she probably felt she was the one bonding closely with Chase, and that she was with her two friends in Dolly and I. In actuality, this was a bit engineered by Chase and I, lol.
Next, the last puzzle piece was Misty. We already basically convinced Burton with little comments to take immunity, and her power was nice to not have in Burtons hands. The guy just comes off as a hardcore player despite all this "I'm new to this" stuff he's trying to pump into everyones head. I just can get a feel for a player who loves control and is trying to make things happen, and this dude is THAT dude. I don't like these kind of players when I'm in games, because they always have a lot going on, and it is completely evident in him winning that flower challenge and than democratically trying to get the tribes opinion on what he should do, exactly who this guy is. It's crystal clear, and Chase and Andrea both sniffed it out exactly like I did.
Targeting Rory, and giving that guy a jolt was totally sweet, and now I feel really confident in not only the numbers that I've played a part in setting up, but I also feel confident in my position WITHIN those numbers, which is really the longterm goal you want established earlier on. I definitely wouldn't say I feel absolutely secure, cause things do happen, but for the time being I definitely know that I've been doing what I can do, bouncing all over the place to make sure I get into an alright position. I think I've done a good job at it too, cause as far as I'm concerned a big vote was pioneered last round, and I definitely had a nice big hand in it, along with others who I don't think the likes of Burton, Kelly, Coach, or especially Rory saw rising and taking charge.
