Hello ladies.
Alright, so I have heard you two go on and on about your feelings about how you all played the game, and how your opponent played the game. Honestly, it's a little sad that far too much of this is just digging into each other, instead of lifting yourselves up. And when you do lift yourself up, it isn't really as remarkable and I would like it to be.
Parvati, you are a very peculiar player to me in this game, because you basically gave me Jordan-syndrome. Big Brother 11, I think a good bit of us despite liking Kevin, liking Michelle, and....seeing Natalie, ended up rooting for Jordan because we realized that despite not really having much control, and relying on other people the entire game for the most part, there was just something about her that was so damn rootable. Something that made you really want her to win, regardless the game she played strategically, and how much power she truly held the majority of the time....we just kind of wanted to see her win anyway. She just had that X-factor and zest to her that made us want her to win, and justify our reasonings after. You I think have that X-factor. That to me IS important though, and it's not fully cuts, cause having that kind of aura is a great quality, and likability and rootability is tied to how you played the game, and your social game.
Ashley, you on the other hand I believe are over selling yourself. Now, I thought, which I accept a bit more than the actuality of the situation, that you simply saw people you knew in this game and decided to make deals with them, in much the way I did with you, Natalie, and on my original tribe, Chase, Julie, and through out the game Andrea. However, you, Andrea, and Natalie entering the game and making it to final 4 together? To me, that's just not that difficult, not that impressive, and quite frankly since I linked into that thinking it was something much different than it was, leaves a really bitter taste in my mouth regarding the game I thought we were all playing. Now looking back, rather than some beautiful collision of individuals to make something great that got a little flubbed due to rewards...it was something much more disappointing in origin and impressiveness.
That's essentially all I have to say to you girls. I am not as impressed with this end game as I would like to be, because while I really like you both for certain reasons, I also dislike some facet of who you were in this game as well. Parvati, like I said, you X-factor is strong, but I think your X-factor is simply a product of you being the underdog lacking control and depending on immunity. Ashley kind of helped create this funny enough, because she was the opposite, she doesn't have much of an X-factor at all (though more than a lot of us last-few-standing). Still though, I think that you just don't have the presence of someone who a lot of people can walk away happy seeing with this game in their hands, and that's a big problem for you.
At this point, I know I'm going to vote for the person who I see as truly a player in this game...whatever that means. However, I should add that edges and advantages not held by Parvati are very much in my mind Ashley, so that statement doesn't neccessarily mean that your vote is mine the way you probably thought it could be.
If either of you have anything you would like to say regarding my impression of you specifically, feel free to toss it out, but I truly don't think it will affect my vote, nor did I say this all in time to have such a response. I think I heard more than enough anyway to not require nor want one anyway.
Good luck ladies, awesome job either way in your specific way of making it to the end of the game. Too bad we couldn't have someone who had both your positive qualities, and lacked the negative ones you both carry as well.
